Coming Soon.....

I went to the doctor today and found out that I've been having contractions for about 3 weeks now! I thought it was just the baby pressing REALLY hard on my stomach, but the doctor says that they are contractions. She said that it's a good thing to have these contractions because they get my body and the baby ready for labor. So we are just waiting on the contractions to get closer together and stronger. The doctor said that it could be anytime between now and our due date!! I'm so excited, and can't wait to see my baby girl. :)

THANK YOU!! :)

I recieved a WONDERFUL gift today from my sweet blog friend Amy, over at "Blessed Motherhood". I had registered for a car seat swing and she purchased it and had it sent to us. As soon as I got home and we saw it on the porch, my hubby knew that it must have been someting special.... "OH! It's the swing I wanted!! It's going to be so neat!!!!" LOL! Yes, like a kid in a candy store.... I LOVE baby things!! It was simple to put together, and much sturdier than I thought it would be. It's built just like a large swing, only much smaller... just the right size to hold the baby's car seat. It will also be super easy to take with us where ever we go!! I can't wait till she is here so I can put her in it and try it out!!!

THANK YOU AMY!!!! :0)

Baby Update

Thankfully, today I can say that all is well with the baby!! After a very eventful and at times even stressful month, things have finally calmed down. I went to the doctor on Monday and she was very happy that I made it to 34 weeks. She said that ideally she wants me to deliver no earlier than 36 - 37 weeks. But that if I do go into labor now, it's not a big problem. My iron was low, so I have to start taking iron tablets along with my prenatal vitamins. Right now I'm just really tired (partially from the low iron, and partially from just being so pregnant), and I'm having all the other "3rd trimester" pregnancy symptoms... shortness of breath, indegestion, etc, etc.... But other than that I'm doing very well. I am now READY for her to hurry up and get here!! For a long time I wasn't in a hurry for labor and delivery, but now that I am getting increasingly uncomfortable (and hard to breathe!) I'm ready. :)

I hope you all have a wonderful week, and 4th of July weekend!!

Funny Story!! :)

I got this in an email, and thought it was just too funny not to share. :)

WALKING THE DOG

A woman was flying from Seattle to San Francisco . Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sacramento along the way. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes. Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. The man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Guide dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight. He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, "Kathy, we are in Sacramento for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?" The blind lady replied, "No thanks, but maybe Buddy would like to stretch his legs."

Picture this..... All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Guide dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines! True story.

Remember...... THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

Baby Update

I know it's been forever since I posted last. This has been a LONG and trying week!! Last weekend I lost some of my mucus plug. Which caused for some concern, so they did a fFN test to check and see if I was at risk for preterm labor, and it came back positive (Meaning that there is a chance that I could go into labor early). I was sent for a ultrasound at the hospital. They found that my fluid was a little low (It was an 8, and it is suppossed to be between 8 - 22 at this point in the pregnancy). So my doctor wanted to check it again on Friday to make sure everything was ok. On Friday it was down to a 6, so they admitted me into the hospital and said that if the fluid level didn't go up they would have to induce me. I was put on monitors, given 5 bags of fluid through IV, several different tests, and steriod shots to develop the baby's lungs just in case I did have to deliever early. Then on Saturday morning they did another ultrasound and the level was back up to a 7. The doctor then sent me home on strict bed rest and told me to drink 24 glasses of water a day (that is not easy... especially when your stomach already doesn't have a lot of room in there!!). I was sent this morning for yet another ultrasound to check the fluid level, and PRAISE THE LORD it was 10 today!!!!!!! They also did a test to check for fluid leaking today and it was negative!! The baby's heart rate is great, and she is as active as ever. The doctor was very pleased with the results today, and said that I have to stay on bed rest for at least 2 more weeks. She wants me to try and at least make it to 34 weeks before I deliver. The baby is already head down and very low, and with the positive fFN test the doctor seems to think that I'll probably deliver early, she just isn't sure how early. Just keep us in your prayers!! :o)

Ultrasound!!

We went yesterday for an ultrasound, and she is doing great! She is measuring perfectly, and is already head down. I thought that it was a little early for her to be head down, so I asked if she would still move around, but the ultrasound tech said that she is very low and seemed to be in position already. Which kind of scared me at first, because I thought that might mean that she would be born very early, but the ultrasound tech said that some babies stay in position for quite a while before birth. I guess she is just anxious to meet everyone!! :)

We didn't get any good pictures of her yesterday because of her being head down and so low, plus she had her hands over her face and wouldn't move them. As a suprise, my mom and dad were going to pay for us to get a 3D ultrasound yesterday, but since Candyce wouldn't cooperate we wern't able to get one. :( Maybe we can get one with our next baby..... that is if our next one is more cooperative!! LOL!! :)

The ultrasound tech was able to tell me that Candyce has a lot of hair. Which I think is so neat!! I didn't realize they could see that on an ultrasound. (Of course I know the ultrasounds have been known to be wrong.... so there is a chance she could be born with no hair at all!! LOL!!) But apparently the lady said that she has so much hair that she couldn't even get a good picture of her brain because of all the hair. So, of course... I got started right away making some cute little hair bows to match her dresses!! :)

Tomorrow is my baby shower from my family, and I can't wait!! Although, I know opening all those cute baby gifts is going to make me want her to hurry up and get here!! :)

I should have pictures of her room pretty soon. I finally got the curtians and the baskets that I needed. The only other thing I need to do is bring over the bookshelf that my mom and dad are giving us to put in there, and I'll be done!! It looks so cute already though!!

a BIG thank you!!! :)

I wanted to say thank you to TWO VERY SWEET ladies that sent me some wonderful gifts recently. Last week I received two boxes in the mail. The first one was from Christina (at Bundled In Prayer). She made Candyce this BEAUTIFUL afghan. It is the prettiest pink I've ever seen, and SO SOFT!! The two hearts in the middle are in memory of our two babies in Heaven. I can't wait to post a picture of Candyce in this beautiful afghan. I LOVE it!! THANK YOU Christina!! :)

The second gift I received was a package from Target. When I opened it there was a beautiful white box inside with a not that said "A Gift for You" on it. Inside the card was a lovely surprise, it was from a blogging friend... Mrs. Linda!! How sweet!! :)

*(Please forgive my "Pregnancy Brain", but I have tried and tried to remember what blog Mrs. Linda is from. The name sounds familiar (I'm not going to post the last name on here, for her privacy, however it did sound familiar), but I can't seem to remember exactly who she is.... so if you would PLEASE leave a comment and let me know, I want to be able to thank you more formally, and know who sent us this wonderful gift!!)

I opened the box and it was the scrapbook that I had put on our registry at Target!!

Isn't it BEAUTIFUL!?! It's even prettier with Candyce's name in it. I can't wait to get a picture of her to put in the front!! :)

I was so excited to see this gift. I really wanted to go ahead and get started on her scrapbook, but since we don't have a whole lot of money right now, I just put it on the registry to see if someone would get it for us. How neat that she bought it early so I can go ahead and get started on it!!! THANK YOU Mrs. Linda!!! :)

You ladies are so sweet, I appreciate all the prayers and gifts that some of you have been sending our way. You will never know how much these things mean to me!!
